10 year anniversary celebrations of the Cynthia Petridou FLS in Paphos, Cyprus with the participation of Cambridge ESOL
Celebrations for the 10 years of the Cynthia Petridou FLS in Paphos concluded last October with a tremendous participation of parents and students. Bob Obee, Professional Support Leader Cambridge ESOL and Andriana Menelaou, Consultant Cambridge ESOL Cyprus represented Cambridge ESOL at the joyous celebration.
The event opened with the local Tristan orchestra playing beautiful melodies to the audience and was crowned with an award ceremony for all the students of the school that succeeded in obtaining a Cambridge ESOL certificate followed by complimentary gifts to commemorate the anniversary.
Commenting on the occasion Michael Carty, Cambridge ESOL’s Development Manager for Greece, Cyprus and Adria said; ‘We are very pleased that the Cynthia Petridou school in Paphos has opted to offer high quality exams to students in Paphos. Ms Petridou has demonstrated a commitment to quality by offering students and parents qualifications with truly international recognition. We will continue to work closely with the Cynthia Petridou school in the future.’
Hosted by Ms. Petridou herself and attended by an audience of over 460, the event was also attended by the new British Council Cyprus Director, Ms. Sandra Hamrouni and accompanied by senior colleagues from the British Council as well as numerous key figures in the local community of Paphos including the Vice Mayor of Paphos, Mr. Makis Rousis, Members of Parliament Mr Kostakis Konstantinou and Mr. Fidias Sarikas as well as Mr. Evros Loizidis, Mr. Fylaktis Konstantinidis, Mr. Lazaros Omirou and Mr. Giorgos Sofokleous, aldermen representing the Paphos City Council.
